CHAMBER PARTNERS WITH DC FIRM TO ATTRACT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSES TO SOUTH CAROLINA

The Southeastern Chamber recently partnered with Lang Strategies to serve as a liaison to attract international business to the Chamber’s headquarter State, South Carolina. Lang entered into a formal partnership to provide business services to international firms that are looking to expand their business in the US with the goal of developing and implementing growth opportunities for these companies. Some of the industries are aerospace, food, green technology, professional services (financial, accounting, law, publishing), manufacturing, tourism and media.

The objective of the partnership is to explore various markets around the Southeastern Region and provide options to the companies that Lang is dealing with currently. Meetings were facilitated with Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties economic development offices, City of Charleston, Town of Summerville and the international team at the South Carolina Department of Commerce. “Our partners are ready to do business, and we were please to know that South Carolina is open for business. We look forward to working with the Chamber, who has been an true regional connector thus far ” said Dr. Barbara Lang CEO, Lang Strategies in Washington, DC.

The Lang Strategies leadership is scheduled to travel to Milan Italy and Rome in October for a delegation trip to connect regional partners with international firms. South Carolina is planning to have a representative in place to discuss opportunities.
