MODULE (9)

Thursday, December 4, 2025 | 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

PART 1: Executive Communication & Public Speaking

Focus of the Day: Mastering Your Leadership Voice

This session is dedicated to strengthening the cohort’s ability to communicate with impact – whether in the boardroom, on stage, or in the media. It aligns with corporate readiness (executive presentation and messaging skills) and entrepreneurship (pitching ideas effectively), as well as civic engagement (speaking to inspire communities or testify in public forums). Leaders are often judged by how well they articulate vision and motivate others; thus, mastering public speaking is crucial. Participants will confront a common challenge – public speaking anxiety – and learn techniques to overcome it (indeed, an estimated 75% of people fear public speaking ). Through expert coaching, practice speeches, and even a mock media event, this full-day workshop builds confidence and polish in each individual’s communication style. The local context enriches the experience by involving Charleston-area media professionals and venues, giving participants a chance to practice on camera and receive feedback in a real-world setting. By the end of the day, each leader should feel more prepared to be the “public face” of an organization or cause, armed with the tools to inform, persuade, and inspire any audience.

PART 2: Wellness Burnout & Boundaries

Focus of the Day: Building a Leadership Lifestyle That Last

Leadership isn’t sustainable without balance. This session helps participants assess their relationship with time, pressure, and performance. Wellness experts lead practical workshops on boundary-setting, rest, identity detachment, and building a purpose-driven (not productivity-obsessed) career.
