SCC Seeks to Grow Division Advisory Boards as Parent Chamber Servicing West Ashley and St. Paul Communities
The advisory board for each SCC Division works to understand the education, information and networking needs of the members within the Division, and translates those needs into a program of work designed to deliver results within the SCC’s framework of benefits and services. The Membership Department of the SCC offers input and advice pertaining to content and development programs and services geared toward chamber membership development and sales professionals. There are open Advisory Board Positions for the following divisions:
Applications are currently being accepted for the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board. The Board is a group of 13 individuals who provide planning, policy and budgetary recommendations to the Parent Chamber Board of Directors regarding operations of the Chamber of Commerce.
The terms of the Advisory Board is two years, beginning on the first day the board application is approved and following the candidate’s induction reception.
The St. Paul Chamber launched on November 29, 2017 at the Stono Ferry Golf Club in Hollywood, SC and is a Charter of its parent Chamber (Southeastern Chamber). The St. Paul’s Community Parish was one of the original ten parishes created in South Carolina by the Church Act of 1706. The parish included a mainland region between the South Edisto and Stono Rivers as well as the adjacent Sea Islands. The Parish represents the governing Towns of Hollywood, Ravenel and Meggett, all located in rural Charleston County.
The St. Paul Chamber currently has seven (6) Advisory Board Members to date.
Applications are currently being accepted for the West Ashley Chamber. The Board is a group of individuals who provide planning, policy and budgetary recommendations to the Parent Chamber Board of Directors regarding operations of the Chamber of Commerce.
The Division encompasses a radius servicing the West Ashley business community.
“We are soliciting support from area business leaders, executives, political representatives and entrepreneurs”, said Division board member Karla Mironov- West Ashley resident and Owner of Karla Jean Studio.
The group is hosting an event entitled Board Huddle- “An Advisory Meet & Greet” Wednesday, June 20th, 2018, 7:00 p.m.-8:30p.m. at Karla Jean Studio, 1311 St. Andrews Blvd, Charleston, SC, and will host an open Advisory Board Meeting on July 25, 2018 at the same location, beginning at 6:30pm.
