The International Economic Development Council selected Southeastern Chamber CEO & Board of Governors Chair Henry Ravenel to keynote at their 2018 Annual Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada January 28-30, 2018.
Attendees will learn how individual states are aligning funding, expectations, and guidance to help students complete college degrees, and enter the workforce as competitive, prepared graduates. Ravenel will be exploring the evidence showing how P-16/P-20 systems reduce dropout rates, and how their councils are structured, with members from educational institutes, and, business and community leaders. Since completing his studies Psychology & Government Foreign Affairs at Hampden-Sydney College in VA, Henry Ravenel Jr. served as Chief Executive Officer for a Charleston Networking Association, where after six years of operating the alliance, in 2011 he amended the name to the Southeastern Chamber of Commerce, which operates on a regional level to date.
Ravenel will be speaking on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 5:40 pm on the topic of The Role of Education in Economic Development.
